Emile Henry Modern Classics Rectangular Baker, 13" x 9" in Evergreen

The Burgundy clay ceramic rectangular baker is a go-to for casseroles and bakes that need steady heat, like vegetable gratins, baked pasta dishes and fruit crisps. The 13" x 9" size also works well when you want room for bubbling sauces and a nicely browned top.

Yes. The Burgundy clay ceramic rectangular baker is designed for thermal shock resistance, which means it can move from freezer to oven, broiler or microwave. That makes it a smart choice for make-ahead meals you want to bake or reheat without switching dishes.

Burgundy clay is used as the foundation of Emile Henry's ceramic cookware to support slow, even cooking and strong heat retention. In a ceramic baker, that can help dishes bake more evenly and stay warmer longer once they are out of the oven.

It is. The Burgundy clay ceramic rectangular baker is designed to look as good on the table as it does in the oven, so you can bake and serve in the same dish. It is especially nice for family-style meals like lasagna, baked ziti or cobbler.

Modern Classics pieces are formed one at a time and hand-finished by artisans, bringing a more crafted feel to everyday baking. Emile Henry has been making ceramic ovenware since 1850, using mineral-rich clay from Burgundy as the starting point for its cookware.
